When does the next course start?

We are rebuilding the academy post Covid-19 and look forward to the new relaunch in 2024.

How long are the courses?

The Category I Course will be approx 800 hours over 26+ weeks.

The Category II Course will be approx 400 hours over 14 weeks.

When do the classes meet?

Our courses are conducted in a part-time format of evenings and weekends that allow recruits to keep their current job and still have time to study and prepare for the academy.


Tuesday evenings 6:00pm - 10:00pm

Wednesday evenings 6:00pm - 10:00pm

Thursday evenings 6:00pm - 10:00pm


Saturdays 8:00am - 5:00pm

Sundays  Approx. 3-5 Cat I only  8:00am - 5:00pm

Fridays  Approx. 3-5 Cat I only  8:00am - 5:00pm


Sundays  Aprox. 3  Cat II only  8:00am - 5:00pm

Fridays  Aprox. 3  Cat I only  8:00am - 5:00pm


One weekend Cat I & Cat II   Friday - Saturday - Sunday - Monday    All Day  Both Cat I & Cat II - Dates will be given in advance.


Class begins promptly at given times.  Please allow sufficient time to arrive to the academy on time.

Serving the Training Needs of Working Officers


Can I Apply?


Yes. The academy provides training for newly employed peace officers for the agencies who have hired them, known as Affiliated Recruits, but also accepts applicants who do not yet have a job offer from an agency. These are known as Non - Affiliated Recruits. You must be 21 years of age and a citizen of the United States.

When Should I Apply?
